Here's hoping one of Reaper's holiday-themed voice lines is Down Town"Ho! Ho! Ho!"

Overwatchwill seemingly kick off its first (and hopefully annual) winter/holiday event on Tuesday, Dec. 13. There aren't any details to share yet, but a tweet from the game's official account seems pretty clear.

The tweet is just cryptic enough to leave an element of uncertainty hanging -- does the event start on Dec. 13 or is it just an announcement? We'd bet on the former.

Tuesday is the day that Overwatchweekly updates launch. What's more, multi-week Overwatchevents for the 2016 Olympics and Halloween occurred earlier in the year, so there's precedent. Blizzard likes to extend real world celebrations into its hit game.

We already had some evidence of an approaching Overwatchwinter event thanks to the programming-savvy contingent of fans. Right around Thanksgiving, code-divers spotted music and voice lines in a recent update that seemed to point toward some kind of holiday-themed happening.

Based on how Blizzard's approached past holiday events, you can probably expect a redesigned main menu screen, a boatload of new customization items and character skins, and some sort of limited-time game mode.

Keep an eye on the OverwatchTwitter feed and subreddit in the coming days, as there's a good chance more will be revealed -- or slip out -- ahead of Dec. 13.
